Archived Outdoor Stories

Welcome to the Archives Vault!

We’ve received many requests from our viewers to read some of the articles and stories we published on-line last year.  For this reason, we are now making three of our most popular outdoor pieces available to you once again. These three articles are: “A Minnesota State of Mind,” “Old Bear Run,” and “One Person’s Story.”

  • A Minnesota State of Mind,” describes the quirky foibles and idiosyncrasies of those folks “up-North,” who bear the brunt of Mother Nature’s fickleness and live to tell jokes about snowstorms, blinding rain, and marauding mosquitoes.
  • Old Bear Run,” an outdoor short story, is reminiscent of the style used in portraying early American adventurers.  To those of you who are familiar with the work of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemmingway, and John Steinbeck, this short fiction emulates the crisp, action packed, and the dramatic tenor of their terse verse.
  • In “One Person’s Story,” the narrator recounts the plight of a young man as he struggles with unemployment, depression, and his relationship with Nature and the world around him.

By making these stories a permanent part of our “on-line library,” you can come back to them as many times as you like.

Happy Reading!
