Finding good footwear isn't easy.  Everyone's feet are different.  Everyone's gait varies whether he or she is walking, hiking, or running; which makes buying the proper footwear difficult.
                                       
I don't know if it is a fair comparison to say looking for footwear is allot like looking for a car.  There are so many options and so many things to look for.

I do know it is fair to say that you need to allot of information to narrow down exactly what kind of shoe or boot you need.  Spending a couple hundred bucks for boots without trying them on, is like buying a car without taking a test drive so, we recommend putting the footwear first before you buy it.

In order to help you find the proper footwear, we sought the best footwear makers around.  Our search for name brand quality footwear thinned out the herd of manufacturers to those venerable craftsmen who have been around the longest and know the business the best.

Overall, we found Timberland™ and Sears® to have the most boots. Overall, our search showed that Timberland and Bridgedale Socks™ had the most socks available. Bridgedale™ had the most inexpensive socks. However, the other manufacturers had many other wonderful footwear products on their sites, as well.
